THE SIXTH MONKEY
A feature length production about a group of violent animal activists who are conned into stealing a group of monkeys from a research lab. The sixth monkey carries a deadly virus and they are all now dying unaware that the lab arranged the abduction to see the effects of the virus on human specimens.

ABOUT THE ZED RESISTOR COMPANY
Originally founded over 30 years ago in 1995 in the UK the Zed Resistor Company is an award winning production company (Best Film Nantes Film Festival 2007, Best Production Buenos Aires Shakespeare Festival 2008).
Its productions spread over a wide range of productions from feature films (Hamlet, Dead And Awake) to short films and TV productions.
Presented on this site are a range of clips from just some of those productions (portfolio).
Currently in development are two feature films, The Sixth Monkey; an action feature film about a group of animal activists who accidentally rescue a monkey with a deadly virus, and Don Quixote; a lateral approach to the classic Spanish book with the Don played by an old woman on a boat.
ABOUT ALEXANDER FODOR
The company’s CEO is Alexander Fodor who is a director/writer/producer who originally wrote scripts for mainstream UK TV (The Bill) and then went onto directing the same series. He set up The Zed Resistor Company to develop projects of his own and also to encourage a hands on efficient method of film production that would be accessible to all members of the community.
He is an active environmentalist and the latest project in development The Sixth Monkey is a development of his experiences rescuing animals from execution. His parentage is Hungarian though he’s a British National.
